Interesting video regarding starting a graphic design business

This is web design heavy video of Jonathan Wold speaking about his entrepreneurial career around design.

He speaks of coming from a huge amount of debt and designing websites and graphics for print and getting a career out of working hard and intensely to getting what you want out of company.

He advises on keeping a current job if you are employed and working hard on the times you are not there.

Picking and building clients is helped by online blogging and referrals, asking for clients through other clients is an interesting concept. Going back to clients and asking them for referrals to create new business leads is done more regularly than I thought.

Think local, if the market is saturated, move onto a local area that needs your help.

Creating a separate website that allows you to talk to people without the sales pitch is a clever idea and something that I am already doing with the One Third Beer Blog.
