This kickstarter has my juices flowing for a creative collaboration project, I have never backed anything on Kickstarter, I hear lots of good about it but I have missed out on all the hype for anything. This idea by Weekend Press in Oakland is a great example of how people can engage with thier local printing press and keep the family run businesses alive.
Last year I spoke with a small press called Piccolo in the very top of Scotland, I planned a visit but never secured a place to stay the 2 nights trip it would have been. I think the idea of adopting a press or discussing a creative project with a local press could be a fantastic way of gaining exposure and creating contacts.
